Causes:
Parkinson’s disease is due to a decrease in the amount of dopamine, a chemical, in the brain. Dopamine is used to transmit nerve impulses and is involved in regulating balance and smooth, rapid movements of the limbs.
What you can do:
-If you have a relative who is suffering from parkinsons disease, you can help him to function as normally as possible by:
-Structuring the environment to minimize confusion and injuries.Ensuring that he takes his medication as instructed.
-Joining a support group, if there is any in the vicinity or encouraging the help of family and friends.
